Prop Hire · Luxury Balloon Styling · Corporate Event Styling · Picnic Hire · Bloom Bar Hire · Personalised Wedding & Event Accessories

GENERAL

Which services does Leor & Lume Events offer?

We are a full-service event styling company offering prop hire, luxury balloon installations and garlands, corporate event styling and branding, luxury picnic hire, bloom bar hire (fresh and faux flower "build your own bouquet" bars), and personalised wedding and event accessories such as signage, favours, and decor. Whether you Are planning an intimate picnic, a wedding, or a large corporate launch, we can tailor a package to suit your event.

Which areas do you cover?

We Are based in Oundle and cover events across Cambridgeshire and North Northamptonshire . For events further afield, please get in touch. We are often able to travel for an additional delivery and travel fee. Let us know your postcode when enquiring and we will confirm availability and any travel costs.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible to guarantee your date. As a guide:

  • Weddings and large corporate events: 2 months in advance

  • Picnics and smaller styling packages: 2–3 weeks in advance

  • Balloon installations for parties: 2–3 weeks in advance

Can you accommodate last-minute bookings?

Yes, where our schedule allows. Because we begin sourcing materials and preparing your order as soon as you book, last-minute requests may involve a rush fee to cover expedited sourcing and preparation. Get in touch with your date and requirements and we will let you know what is possible and confirm any rush fee upfront before you book.

Do you offer bespoke or custom packages?

Yes. While we have set packages to make browsing and budgeting easy, most of our clients mix and match services, for example, combining balloon styling with a bloom bar, or personalised accessories with a picnic setup. Get in touch with your vision and budget and we will put together a bespoke quote.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

How do I make a booking?

Once you have chosen your package or sent us your enquiry, we will confirm availability and send you a quote. To secure your date, we require agreement to our Terms and Conditions and a deposit.

How much deposit do you require, and why?

We ask for a 50% deposit of your total order value at the time of booking. We are upfront about why: the materials for your order typically come to at least 50% of the total cost, and we begin sourcing and preparing them, and reserve your event date exclusively for you, shortly after you book. Your deposit reflects the real costs we commit early on, not just a booking hold.

When is the remaining balance due?

The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 7 calendar days before your event (or agreed delivery/collection date for made items). If the balance has not reached us by then, we may treat the booking as cancelled, and our cancellation terms will apply, so please get in touch if you think you will need more time.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers and card payments. You will receive a clear, itemised invoice setting out the agreed goods and services, the full price payable, and any compulsory charges such as delivery or setup. Please have a thorough check and let us know promptly if anything looks off.

What is your cancellation policy?

Because we commit to sourcing materials and reserving your date shortly after booking, your 50% deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel after paying your balance, we will refund whatever remains once we have accounted for costs and losses already incurred by the cancellation date (materials, labour, and your reserved date if we cannot rebook it). Generally, the closer to your event you cancel, the less will be refundable, as more will already have been spent on your behalf.

Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?

Yes, if your plans change, you are welcome to reschedule to a new date at no additional fee, subject to availability, provided you give us at least 7 days' notice. Your deposit and any payments made will simply carry over to your new date.

Do I have a legal "cooling-off" right to cancel?

If you are a consumer and you booked at a distance (online, by email, phone, or social media) or away from our premises, you have a statutory right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of booking, without giving a reason. This 14-day right does not apply to items made to your specification or clearly personalised, for example, bespoke balloon arrangements, custom installations, or personalised wedding items created specifically for you. If you ask us to start work (planning, sourcing, or reserving your date) within the 14 days, you can still cancel, but you would pay for what we have already provided up to that point, and once a service is fully completed with your agreement inside the 14 days, the right to cancel ends. To cancel within this period, just let us know in writing at lieorandlume@outlook.com.

Can I amend my booking after paying my deposit?

Yes, within reason. We will do our best to accommodate changes to colours, quantities, or add-ons. Amendments may involve additional charges, and any changes need to be agreed in writing. For personalised items, changes may not be possible once your items are in production.

PROP HIRE

What props do you have available?

Our prop hire collection includes items such as plinths, arches, neon signs, furniture, backdrops, and decorative accents, perfect for weddings, parties, photoshoots, and corporate activations. Browse our current collection on our website or ask us for a catalogue.

How does prop hire pricing work?

Prop hire is quoted per item as part of your overall order, typically covering delivery, styling, and collection within an agreed hire window. Extended hire periods can be arranged for an additional fee. Just ask.

What happens if a hired prop is damaged or not returned?

Hired equipment should be returned in its original condition by the agreed collection time. In the event of damage or loss, reasonable replacement or repair charges will apply, reflecting our actual cost. You are responsible for the care and supervision of hired items from setup until collection. Our decorations and props are designed to be admired rather than handled or moved, so please ask your guests to treat them with care.

Do you deliver and collect, or is it self-collection?

We offer full delivery, setup, and collection as standard within our core service area, and self-collection may be available for some items by arrangement. Delivery fees vary by location and are confirmed at quote stage.

LUXURY BALLOON STYLING

What types of balloon styling do you offer?

From organic balloon garlands and arches to balloon walls, ceiling installations, and table centrepieces, we create bespoke balloon designs in your chosen colour palette for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, corporate launches, and more.

Are your balloons safe, and do you offer non-latex options?

Unless otherwise agreed, we use latex balloons. As latex can cause allergic reactions in some people, please let us know in writing at the time of booking if you or your guests need non-latex materials, and we will arrange this for you.

How long do your balloon installations last?

Our balloon garlands and installations use professional-grade balloons and typically remain full and vibrant for 1–2 weeks when kept indoors, away from direct sunlight, heat, and sharp objects. We are unable to accept responsibility for damage caused by environmental exposure after setup.

What is "Balloon Shine" and is it safe?

We may apply Balloon Shine, a silicone-based product, to enhance the appearance and longevity of your balloons. We will always discuss this with you beforehand. It should not be ingested, inhaled, or come into contact with eyes or open wounds, and we recommend children and pets do not handle treated balloons, with hands washed after contact.

Can you match my event's colour scheme?

Absolutely, colour matching is one of our specialities. Share your palette, inspiration images, or even a fabric swatch and we will source balloons to match as closely as possible.

Do you set up on-site, or can I collect a DIY balloon garland?

Both options are available. We offer full on-site installation for a seamless, professional finish, and for some designs we also offer DIY garland kits for collection if you would prefer to style it yourself.

CORPORATE EVENT STYLING

What corporate events do you style?

We work with businesses on product launches, brand activations, conferences, office parties, awards evenings, and trade show stands, styling spaces that reflect your brand identity.

Can you incorporate our brand colours and logo into the styling?

Yes, this is something we specialise in. Send us your brand guidelines (colours, logo files, fonts) and we will incorporate them into balloon installations, signage, and styling elements throughout your event.

Do you provide styling for multi-day events or exhibitions?

Yes, we can arrange installation ahead of your event and provide maintenance visits or refresh services for multi-day exhibitions and conferences, so everything looks polished from start to finish.

Can you issue invoices for our finance/procurement team?

Yes, we are happy to provide detailed, itemised invoices and can accommodate purchase order numbers where required. Please let us know your invoicing requirements when booking.

PICNIC HIRE

What is included in a luxury picnic hire package?

Our picnic packages typically include low tables, floor cushions, tableware, blankets, a table runner, and decorative styling (think fresh or faux florals, candles, and signage). Food and drink are not included but we are happy to recommend trusted local suppliers, or arrange catering as an add-on where available.

Where can picnics be set up?

We can set up in your garden, a local park (subject to permissions), a beach, or an indoor venue. If you are booking a public location, please check whether a permit is required. We are happy to advise based on our experience.

How long is the picnic hire for?

Our standard picnic hire is a full day. You can request shorter hours if your picnic will be in a public setting and you are limited to a certain time. We handle setup and pack-down, so you can simply arrive and enjoy. As with all hired equipment, please take reasonable care of items during your hire. Replacement or repair charges apply for damage or loss beyond normal wear.

What happens if it rains?

We monitor the weather in the lead-up to outdoor picnics and will get in touch to discuss options, which may include moving to a covered/indoor location, rescheduling, or postponing where possible. We recommend having a backup indoor space in mind for outdoor bookings.

BUILD A BOUQUET HIRE

What is a 'build a bouquet' bar?

A bloom bar is an interactive floral styling station where your guests can "build their own" bouquet or buttonhole from a curated selection of fresh or faux blooms, foliage, and wrapping, a popular addition to weddings, baby showers, and corporate events.

Do you offer fresh or faux flowers, or both?

We offer both. Fresh bloom bars are priced based on seasonal flower availability and quantity, while faux bloom bars use high-quality artificial stems and can be booked further in advance with no seasonal restrictions.

Is the 'build a bouquet'bar staffed?

Yes, we can provide a stylist to run the bloom bar and assist your guests, or set it up as a self-serve station with clear instructions, whichever suits your event best.

PERSONALISED WEDDING & EVENT ACCESSORIES

What personalised items do you offer?

We create bespoke signage (welcome signs, seating plans, table numbers), personalised wedding hangers, favours, ribbon and sash printing, hen/stag accessories, name tags, and other custom decor items tailored to your event's theme, names, dates, and colour scheme.

How does the design and approval process work?

Before we begin production, we will share a proof or confirm the final details with you in writing. Please check it carefully, particularly spelling, names, dates, wording, and colours. Once you approve it, we create your items exactly as approved, so we are unable to offer a refund or free correction for errors in details you have confirmed. If we make an error against your approved proof, we will put it right at no cost to you.

How long does personalisation take?

Personalised items typically take 1–3 weeks to produce once your design and text are confirmed, so we recommend finalising these details as early as possible, particularly for wedding stationery-style items.

Can I make changes after I have approved my proof?

Once you have approved your proof and production has begun, changes may not be possible, and where we are able to make them, additional charges may apply.

Are personalised or custom-made items returnable?

Because personalised items are made specifically for you and cannot be resold, the standard 14-day cooling-off right does not apply to them, and they are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once approved and produced, except in the case of a fault or an error on our part against your approved proof. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, as described) always apply, personalisation does not affect this.

What if I need to inspect or report an issue with my delivered items?

Responsibility for your items passes to you once they are delivered or collected. Please inspect them as soon as you receive them and let us know of any issue within [3 days], so we can resolve it quickly. This does not affect your statutory rights.

DELIVERY, SET UP & COLLECTION

Is delivery included in the price?

Delivery within 10 miles of Oundle is included in most packages; deliveries further afield may incur an additional travel fee, confirmed at quote stage.

Do you set everything up, or do I need to do it myself?

For styling services (balloons, bloom bars, picnics, corporate installations), full setup and pack-down is included as standard. For prop hire only, setup can be added as an optional extra.

What time will you arrive to set up?

We will agree a setup window with you in advance based on your venue access times, typically arriving 1–3 hours before your event start time to allow time for styling.

SAFETY, PRIVACY & PHOT0GRAPHY

Do you carry insurance?

Yes, we hold public liability insurance, and documentation is available on request for venues that require it. We carry out all services with reasonable care and skill, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Who is responsible for decorations and hired equipment once they are set up?

You are responsible for the care and supervision of decorations and hired equipment from setup until the agreed collection time. We are unable to accept liability for damage, injury, or additional charges arising from mishandling or lack of supervision, except where caused by our own negligence.

Will you use photos from my event for marketing?

We may photograph your event setup, or items we have made, for promotional purposes. If you would rather we did not, just let us know in writing beforehand and we will respect your wishes. We will not include your guests in any photos without their express permission, and we will never share your personal data without consent.

How do you handle my personal data?

We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Any personal information you share with us is used solely to fulfil your booking and related communications, and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law or needed to deliver your service (for example, with delivery partners).
